An international consortium of artists working to support one another and the Church. The CRAA is one of the member organizations affiliated with this Austrian branch of IMAGO.  Cardinal Dr. Christoph Shönborn, Archbishop of Vienna, founded this organization in 1995. IMAGO UNITATIS received Pontifical recognition from the Pontificia Commissione per i Beni Culturali della Chiesa in 2005. "IMAGO Christian Art Today" aims at giving more importance to Christian art in the life of the Catholic Church. The purpose is to stress again the nature of Christian art and its proper value, which the Church has always seen in the praise of the Lord; thus the important responsibility of Christian art in the field of proclamation must be taken on more forcefully and be newly emphasized.
